Nick Drago is a student, outdoorsman, mobile DJ, and web designer with a penchant for all things high-tech.
Nick has been publishing on the web since 2004, during which time he has honed his web design skills and experimented with web publishing, hosting, and advertising. He interned in systems administration at a local software company, and soon after started doing freelance web design.
Nick loves the outdoors; cycling, mountain biking, camping, and backpacking are among his favorite activities. He has traveled cross-country by car to both Alaska and New Mexico during two separate summers, and photos related to his travels may be found in his Flickr photostream.
In 2006, Nick co-founded Dynamic DJ Entertainment, where he is the managing partner of a mobile disc jockey company. They specialize in local school dances and parties. The company site includes a weblog where he relates his experiences related to disc jockeying and building a business in a unique niche market.
He can be contacted directly at nick@dragotown.com or through this site’s contact form.
The site
This is a weblog / portfolio site, however its goal is to be more of a repository for all of my work-to-date. Here you will find some of the writing I’ve done, code that I’ve produced, and ideas that I’ve come up with.
To publish this site, I use Wordpress, an an open-source weblog publishing system written in PHP and backed by a MySQL database.
The site uses a custom Wordpress theme I created. The menu was inspired by Dave Kellam. Several code elements were taken from the Tarski and K2 themes for Wordpress. The illustration on the about page is by Trevor Romain.
